Flowering is the most crucial developmental process in the plat life cycle. Manipulation of flowering improves plants' ornamental values and also enables essential activities in the horticultural industry, such as plant propagation, year-round production, and quality improvement of horticultural crops. This course introduces some knowledge about the flowering model, estimation of the flowering time, cultivation environment control, breeding, etc., based on the fundamental flowering responses to environmental factors, and discusses how to apply manipulation of flowering in the future horticultural industry.
