이번 발표 논문은 올해 21년 8월 Science Advances 에 출판된 'Tox2 is required for the maintenance of GC Tfh cells and the generation of memory Tfh cells' 입니다.
Follicular helper T cell (Tfh) 은 antibody response 를 조절하는 humoral immunity 에 가장 핵심이며 또한 local lymphoid organ 에 존재하는 memory Tfh 은 secondary antibody response 에 중요하다고 알려져 있습니다.
기존에 전사인자 Tox2 는 T cell intrinsic 하게 chromatin accessibility 를 조절하여 Tfh 로의 분화를 조절한다고 알려져 있습니다. 본 연구팀은 human 에서도 Tox2 가 Tfh 로의 분화를 조절한다는 것을 밝혔으며, 나아가 mice 에서 primary 뿐만 아니라 secondary humoral immune response 가 Tox2-deficient 상황에서 감소하는 것을 보여줌으로서 Tox2 가 GC Tfh 의 generation 뿐만 아니라 maintenance, 즉 memory Tfh 에도 중요하다는 것을 보여주었습니다.
