Energy

As a result of Kyoto Protocol in 2005, Emission Trading for carbon has been operated in many developed countries and Korea has expressed to join the program in 2013. More so, the energy import of Korea is about 22% of country's total imports. This indicated Korea's extreme dependence on energy import. Therefore, development of alternative source of energy is greatly needed in Korea. In this Laboratory, we are conducting several researches renewable and alternative energies such as biomass for bio-energy and wind power.
