Recent progress in genetic engineering and biotechnology  have opened the door for implementation of biomedical strategies in industrially-relevant animal biotechnology.

Our research goal is to understand the mechanisms regulating cellular aging and pathophysiology in animal and human to provide new insights into precise regulation of cellular function, with eventual clinical applications of gene/cell therapy.

To achieve the goal, we are currently focusing on immunomodulatory function of animal/human stem cells, CRISPR/Cas9-mediated gene editing, generation of animal disease models, exosome-based therapeutics, and chimeric antigen receptor T cells (CAR-T).

We try to pursue animal biotechnology-based translational application with an innovative technique and model animal.
