1. 연구실 소개
- 최근 인체 뿐만 아니라 동물의 장관 마이크로바이옴으로 명명되는 장관 내 존재하는 다양한 미생물 집합체들이 단순히 동물과 공생하는 정도의 역할을 하는 것이 아니라 병원성 감염예방, 면역과정 조절, 장내 영양흡수 등에 결정적인 역할을 한다는 사실이 새롭게 규명되어진 후 이들의 동물 강건성과의 상호작용 및 질병 저항성에 대한 연구가 활발하게 이루어지고 있습니다. 이러한 연구방향에 발맞추어 서울대학교 동물미생물학연구실 (SNU Lab. of Animal Microbiology; SLAM)의 주요 관심분야는 프로바이오틱스 (또는 프리바이오틱스, 포스트바이오틱스, 신바이오틱스) 및 마이크로바이옴의 분리, 동정 및 동물 및 인체에서 이들의 생체 기능성을 규명하고 최종적으로 이들을 산업적으로 활용가능하게 하는 연구입니다.
2. 현재 진행중인 연구 주제
· Isolation and identification of newly isolated probiotics and microbiota in human and animal
· Interaction between microbiome and host in the gut environments using metagenomics and culturomics
· Resistome analysis for antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in Korean animal farms
· Development of high-throughput methods using Caenorhabditis elegans animal models
· Application of probiotics, prebiotics, synbiotics and postbiotics in food and feed industry
· Functional analysis of dietary milk-based components in dairy foods
· Molecular mechanism of virulence factors in animal-originated pathogens

- 개정 TEPS 298점 (기존 TEPS 551점) 또는 TOEFL (IBT) 79점 이상
